Tummy Tuck, Mommy Makeover & Abdominoplasty Recovery Must-Haves + 1:1 Support

My Story: Why I Created This

Many of you already know my story. I battled with severe Diastasis Recti—a significant separation of my abdominal muscles after pregnancy.

The pain was intense. My core strength was gone. My quality of life was slipping away, and no amount of exercise or therapy was making a difference. I had exhausted every option.

After much research, prayer, and medical advice, I made the life-changing decision to undergo abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) surgery to repair my muscles and restore my health.

Today, I’m not only fully recovered, but I now help women in recovery prepare for their surgeries, heal properly, and take care of their bodies before and after surgery with the right nutrition, tools, and support.

This is not a judgement space — I fully understand why women choose plastic surgery:

  • You've exhausted all non-surgical options.

  • Your self-confidence is deeply impacted by something you can't change on your own.

  • You're experiencing physical pain or limitations that surgery can relieve.

  • You’ve endured trauma and your appearance triggers emotional or physical stress.

Plastic surgery isn’t vanity—it’s healthcare, healing, and restoration. And proper recovery is key.

Introducing My Tummy Tuck Preparation

&  Recovery Resource

This guide combines my personal journey and professional experience to help you confidently prepare for surgery, minimize pain, and support healing so you can safely enjoy your results.

THE TUMMY TUCK & MOMMY MAKEOVER MUST-HAVES LIST:

Recliner with Lift Function

You won’t be able to bend, twist or sit up easily. The lift function helps you get up safely without straining your core.

Female Urinal Funnel

Total game changer. No struggling to get out of garments or sit down post-surgery. Also helpful for BBL recovery.

Lanyard for Drains

Attach your drains when you shower or change clothes — no more worrying about them pulling or tugging.

Walker (Optional)

For the first few days, this helps you stand and move safely, reducing your risk of blood clots.

Shower Chair (Optional but Highly Recommended)

Standing in the shower will drain your energy quickly. Sit, rest, and let loved ones assist.

4x4 Gauze & Waterproof Dressing

Protects your drains and incision sites from infection and keeps things clean while showering.

Hibicleans Surgical Soap

Pre- and post-op germ killer. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully with this.

Bacitrin Ointment

Applied to incision sites to promote healing and prevent infection.

Bromelain Supplements

Natural anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling and bruising.

Disposable Pads

Helps manage oozing and drainage to keep areas clean and dry.

Protein Drinks & Vital Proteins Collagen

Protein is critical for wound healing. My favorite combo delivers 39g of healing protein per drink.

Miralax & Stool Softeners

Your pain meds will cause constipation. Get ahead of this problem to avoid additional pain and complications.

Compression Garments

Live in these for the first several weeks. They protect your healing muscles and shape your results.

Barefoot Dreams Cardigan (or any cozy, long sweater)

Comfort + coverage while you recover.

 Netflix, Books & Magazines

Keep your mind entertained during recovery downtime.

BONUS: Real Talk Recovery Tips

💡 Coughing, Sneezing & Laughing Hurts
Use a pillow to brace your core whenever you feel one coming. It will lessen the pain dramatically.

💡 Constipation is Real
Start Miralax before surgery and continue as directed. Preventing constipation will save you from excruciating pain.

💡 Plan for Boredom
Line up your favorite shows, books, podcasts, and gentle hobbies to pass the time while your body heals.
