I read a lot.

And I get a lot of requests for book recommendations. So I’ve put together this page of everything I’ve read and my rating for it (and maybe a very short description).



The Rating System


✨ PERSONAL FAVE ✨ (I must admit I've never really read a book I did not like. There are a lot of books I really love but these are the ones related to Health and Wellness. Self Care. Emotional Healing. Personal Development. Businesses that read for growth mindset, personal development, or lifestyle management.

💖 - Absolutely loved it!! 👍🏼 - I liked it but didn’t love it. 🤷‍♀️ - Not my fave but you might like it. 💔 - Hard pass.

2008 Faves📚

These are the books I read while trying to overcome "people pleasing" mom shaming, coping as a trucker wife in a long distance marriage after my emotional abandonment wound was triggered, I lose my sense of self/identity crisis and I started struggling with emotional binge eating. These books help me understand and deal with my limited beliefs, negative thoughts, pains, hurts, and disappointments in my life at the time as well as my long-distance marriage.

💖💖💖 In the Meantime by Iyanla Vanzant

I absolutely love this book and have reread it several times. It gets three hearts. It's a very good read if you need to learn how to love yourself.


💖💖💖Battlefield of The Mind

I love love love all positive thinking books be it Christian or metaphysics it's still the same in my eyes. All roads point ME TOWARDS GOD. This book is for anyone struggling with negative thinking.


💖💖💖💖You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay (One of my Favorite Books)

Do I need to describe this? No.


💖💖 Sassy Single and Satisfied by Michelle McKinney Hammond

I love all her books. This is another tool that is focus on self-love while eating on the RIGHT GUY/Partner.


💖💖How to Succeed at Being Yourself

This book is for anyone embarking on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.


💖💖The Power of Being a Woman

This book reminded me of the importance of self-love, appreciation, and the gift of being a woman.


💖💖 Relationship Rescue by Phillip C. McGraw, Ph.D.

For anyone who wants to improve their relationships by tapping into their inner strength and choosing to own their part in the difficult relationship.


💖The Power of A Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian

I liked the Scriptures they came in handy during my TAG Sessions (Time With God)


💖Help Me I'm Married by Joyce Meyers

This book gave me a biblical perspective and bible standards for marriage. Joyce uses her personal experience (which I love) and the trials of her marriage to show how patience, self-love, and self-awareness can help create a better marriage.


👍 His Needs, Her Needs by Willard F. Harley, Jr

Awesome for anyone looking to understand how to communicate and resolve conflict effectively.


👍The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle

A very good read for women wanting to regain intimacy in their relationships.

Art Wellness Studio and Botanica provide the Metro Atlanta area with a counseling and coaching services where clients are carefully matched with the right program for healing abandonment and childhood emotional neglect trauma that cause codependency, emotional eating, financial stress, and imposter syndrome as it relates to a fear of success and being abandon.
